At hearing yesterday's Senate hearings on artificial intelligence, Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) used an ai to clone his voice and give a deepfake speech which fooled everyone on the floor until he revealed it wasn't a tape. “No one, in fact, could tell that it was a clone. I think that it is one of the more scary moments in the United States Senate hearing history,” Blumenthal said on MSNBC.

It's illuminating how AI could be used by a company like Proloquo2Go to improve their interface, and give realistic speech to nonverbal members of humanity. It's also illuminating to speculate how evil actors could and will co-opt it for their own malicious ends.
It is ironic though, that the Proloquo2Go has a name not even most speaking people could pronounce, or even remember.
