Apple is continuing its beta cycle for devices with the release of the second beta of macOS Ventura 13.4 for developers.

By visiting the Apple Developer Center or updating Macs that are currently running beta software, developers who have signed up for the beta program can choose the most recent builds. The Apple Beta Software Program provides access to public beta versions, which often soon follow developer versions.

The second beta for macOS Ventura 13.4 follows the first release Apple pushed out on March 28.

The second Ventura 13.4 beta build number is 22F5037d up from 22F5027f. What is new in this beta generation beyond bug fixes still isn't clear.

However, with macOS Ventura 13.3, Apple added 31 new emojis, rich text previews for Mastodon in Messages, and HomeKit architecture changes.

AppleInsider and Apple strongly suggest users don't install beta operating systems or other beta software on "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the small chance of issues that could result in the loss of data. Testers should instead use secondary or non-essential hardware and ensure they have sufficient backups of their critical data at all times.
