This week on the HomeKit Insider podcast, iOS 15.5 brings HomePod Wi-Fi strength meter, Sonos mini sub leaked, we review Ecobee's new Premium and Essential thermostats, Eve launches its outdoor floodlight camera, and we cover Pebblebee location item trackers.
After leaks and rumors, the new pair of Ecobee thermostats has been made official. The smart home purveyor introduced two new smart thermostats, the Premium version, and the Enhanced version.
We review them on the podcast, talking about the new zinc body, air quality monitor, and updated design. Of course, both thermostats continue to work with HomeKit.
Apple released version 15.5 of the HomePod firmware this week, which didn't have too many user-facing features. The one noticeable change for the Home app is that the HomePod's Wi-Fi signal strength is displayed.
During the episode, we also go hands on with the new Pebblebee Find My-enabled trackers and the new Eve Outdoor Cam.
