So it looks like there is about a 1/2" space between each of those Minis, which means about 2" per mini, which in a 19" rack means you are fitting 9 in a 5U space. Depth for racks range, but usually starts at about 17.7", which if you were doing flat Minis, you are probably fitting 4 in a 1U space. The new Mini is 5x5, which means you can have 3 Minis wide and depending on depth, you are looking at a minimum of 3 rows of 3 or 9 Minis in a 2U space. Seems to me the new Minis will be more space efficient pretty much however they are being racked. Yes the racking pattern may be different than the current one, but this seems like there is still plenty of efficiency to be gained.
