On this week's episode of the Homekit Insider podcast, your hosts discuss the new Max streaming service, go hands-on with the Find My-enabled Ember Travel Mug 2+, and more smart home news.
The news was light this week with the biggest being the availability of the Nanoleaf Matter accessories and the Kasa smart plug with Matter. Besides that, this week, we also spent some time discussing personal projects such as the installation of new three-way switches and the Netatmo weather station.
A solid quarter of the episode was inadvertently devoted to the current state of video streaming. Warner Discovery is ready to launch "Max," later this month which will combine the catalogs of HBO Max and Discovery+ for a new — higher — monthly fee.
There remain plenty of unknowns such as whether it will integrate with Apple TV Channels and if carrier perks will carry over.
