Apple's operating system beta cycle continues with the second betas for iOS and iPadOS 16.5.
By registering for the beta testing program, developers can obtain the most recent releases from the Apple Developer Center or by updating hardware that is already running the beta operating systems. Additionally, via the Apple Beta Software Program, public beta versions of the releases frequently become available soon after the developer releases.
The second betas for iOS and iPadOS follow the first update that Apple seeded on March 28. The new betas for iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 have the build number 20F5039e, up from 20F5028e.
There are currently no indicators of these betas' new features. However, the company still needs to release the Savings account for Apple Card users.
The company updated the terms and conditions for Apple Card in early March to address the account.
AppleInsider and Apple strongly suggest users don't install beta operating systems or other beta software on "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the small chance of issues that could result in the loss of data. Testers should instead use secondary or non-essential hardware and ensure they have sufficient backups of their critical data at all times.
