Apple has announced the second season premiere date for "The Afterparty," a murder mystery comedy on Apple TV+ with Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoe Chao.
On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, the Academy Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord's "The Afterparty" will return for a second season. Told through new and popular film genres, the season's ten episodes will premiere on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through September 6.
In season two, a wedding is ruined when the groom is murdered, and every guest is a suspect. Detective Danner (Haddish) returns to help Aniq (Richardson) and Zoe (Chao) solve the case by family members, lovers, and business partners. Again, each suspect has a unique perspective and visual style.
New stars in the series include Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu, John Cho, and Ken Jeong.
TriStar TV and Sony Pictures Television produce "The AfterParty" for Apple, created by Academy Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord as part of a five-year overall television deal. Miller, along with Tony and Emmy-nominated writer, producer, and performer Anthony King, serve as showrunners and executive producers.
Lord is an executive producer with Miller under their Lord Miller production banner. Aubrey Lee, Lord Miller's senior vice president of television, is also a producer.
