Ahead of its streaming debut, Apple TV+ hosted a world premiere of "Extrapolations" in Los Angeles, with its all-star cast and crew.

Apple TV+ was first reported to be working on what would become its eight-episode climate change drama, "Extrapolations," in 2020. Created by writer/director Scott Z. Burns, it's an anthology series which starts streaming from March 17, 2023.

Burns attended the premier at the Hammer Museum in LA, accompanied on the red carpet by a slew of stars including Kit Harington, Sienna Miller, Tobey Maguire, and Heather Graham.

The series is an anthology, but the separate stories are interwoven across eight episodes written by Burns, Rajiv Joseph, Bess Wohl, Ron Currie, and the writing team of Dorothy Fortenberry & Diane Ademu-John. Author Dave Eggers has provided a story for one episode.

"'Extrapolations' is a bracing limited series," says Apple in a statement, "that introduces a near future where the chaotic effects of climate change have become embedded into our everyday lives."

"Eight interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family from across the globe will explore the intimate, life-altering choices that must be made when the planet is changing faster than the population," Apple continues. "Every story is different, but the fight for our future is universal."

The cast for the eight episodes also includes Diane Lane and Judd Hirsch.
