A long holdout due to hardware limitations, Sonos says that it is now ready to support Spatial Audio for Apple Music users later in March.
After announcing its new Era 300 and Era 100 speakers, the company also announced that spatial audio will be supported on select Sonos speakers starting March 28.
The Sonos Era 300 was designed with spatial audio in mind with front, side, and upward-facing drivers to create that 3D audio experience. The Era 300 can also be paired with the second-generation Sonos Beam or Sonos Arc soundbars to create a Dolby Atmos listening setup.
An Apple Music account can be paired directly with your Sonos speakers making it easy to start playing supported tracks. Apple Music Spatial Audio will be supported on the newly-announced Sonos Era 300, Arc, and Beam (Gen 2). Sonos already supports Dolby Atmos music from Amazon Music Unlimited on select soundbars.
