Apple Fitness+ is expanding its offerings on January 9 with a new kickboxing workout, sleep-themed meditations, a Beyonce artist spotlight, new Time to Walk guests, and three new trainers.
Kickboxing arrives as a new total-body cardio workout type. It will consist of a round of moves and a final round that combines all of the moves in an all-out one-minute interval.
Sleep joins the other nine meditation themes in Apple Fitness+. It aims to make meditation a useful part of a wind-down routine or while driving off to sleep. New sleep meditations will be added weekly.
Beyonce is the latest artist in the Apple Fitness+ Artist Spotlight series. Seven new workouts will be available across Cycling, Dance, HIIT, Pilates, Strength, Treadmill, and Yoga that feature the singer's music on January 9.
Two additional Artist Spotlights will be released in January. Foo Fighters will be available January 16 and Bad Bunny on January 23.
New fitness trainers are joining the platform as well. New Dally will act as a kickboxing trainer, while Brian Cochrane will join the HIIT team and Jenn Lau will join Strength.
"No matter where people are on their health and well-being journey, Fitness+ makes it easy to get started and stay motivated with workouts and meditations that are welcoming to all," said Jay Blahnik, Apple's vice president of Fitness Technologies. "Whether people want to boost their cardio with the newest workout type, Kickboxing; move to Beyonce's latest hits; or wind down before bed with a meditation, there really is something for everyone to take care of their body and mind in the new year."
The new Time to Walk episodes will feature new artists each week starting with Jamie Lee Curtis on January 9. After that guests will include Amber Ruffin, Jason Segel, Jose Andres, Nina Hoss, Colman Domingo, Nathan Chen, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Finally, there will be two new Collections added to the platform. "6 Weeks to Restart Your Fitness" releases January 9, and "Level Up Your Core Training" releases on January 23.
Apple Fitness+ is a paid workout subscription service that costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. It is also included with the Premier tier of the Apple One subscription bundle.
