I bought a USB turntable that could record my LP's to a flash drive about 5 years ago. After the first 3-4 recordings, I realized that I wouldn't live long enough to digitize my 2,000 LP's. Each one takes 45-55 minutes (the length of the album), then you want to clean them up, which can take even longer. You're talking thousands of hours.
I sold my entire collection to a used record store that only sells LP's. Didn't get much, but freed up a lot of space in my spare room! And I've found every single album I've looked for online. Some took a lot of research (the entire Paul Rogers performance from Isle of Wight, among others), but so far, none has remained elusive. Not even "The Open Mind of John D. Loudermilk!"
