Apple TV+ has confirmed that its original multi-year deal with Oprah Winfrey is not being renewed, although it's believed she will continue to work with the streamer project by project.

Oprah Winfrey was one of the first major stars to sign a deal with Apple TV+, and was a highlight of the original Apple launch presentation in March 2019. She said at the time that she was bringing her book club to then-forthcoming streaming service that working with Apple meant being "in a billion pockets, y'all."

Now according to entertainment site Puck, that deal is not being renewed. Apple has reportedly confirmed the end, but neither it nor representatives of Winfrey have commented further,

The deal with Apple TV+ was a non-exclusive one, which meant Winfrey could bring her high-profile Adele and royal interviews to CBS instead.

For Apple, Winfrey has produced her book club, the discussion series "The Oprah Conversation," and her "The Me You Can't See" mental health special made with Prince Harry.

Most recently, her production company was behind Sidney, the Apple TV+ documentary about actor Sidney Poitier.
