Adobe and Box have partnered to simplify business workflows for users by providing Firefly AI image editing within the Box content management environment.
Users already had the option to access Box files from Adobe Creative Cloud and similar tools, but the new partnership brings an all-in-one workflow to the storage platform. Instead of exporting documents to external apps, Box users can use Adobe Express tools without leaving the app.
Box and Adobe encourage business users to take advantage of the new system with confidence. The Adobe Firefly generative AI integration claims to have been designed to be safe.
"As enterprises increase the amount of content they're creating, Box is leveraging AI in our secure ecosystem to fuel collaboration, reduce content sprawl and manage risk," said Aaron Levie, CEO of Box. "We're excited to partner with Adobe Express to enhance what we can offer with the world's best creative tools and AI that's commercially safe. As a result, every Box customer and user will have the ability to easily create, collaborate on and securely manage digital media in a single, secure Intelligent Content Management platform."
Businesses are expected to be able to better provide content at scale with an integrated AI image tool in the storage solution. Generating, erasing, cropping, and editing are all possible with the new Adobe Express integration.
"Today, every enterprise is feeling the pressure to create more content to engage audiences across a growing number of internal and external channels," said Govind Balakrishnan, SVP of Adobe Express & Creative Cloud Services. "By integrating Adobe Express directly into Box, we're helping enterprises close that gap, meeting millions of business users where they work with intuitive, world-class creative tools and AI they can trust."
Box users can perform the following with the new Adobe integration:
- Crop and resize images
- Apply filters and adjust opacity
- Remove backgrounds and objects
- Manipulate people and objects with AI text prompts
- Edit video files by trimming, converting to GIF, or adding captions
The new service comes at no additional cost to Box users. Once the customer's instance is updated, Adobe Express image editing becomes available.
